

Paul recently received the 2006 Professionalism Award from Family Law Inn of Tampa. This is a prestigious award given annually to one member of the Family Law Inn who exhibits professionalism and a high standard of ethics in their practice. Paul recently finished his tenure as President of the Carrolwood Community Bar Association for 2006 and received the Brian Weakland Award for his service as a President.
Paul E. Riffel graduated from the University of Stetson College of Law in 1982 and received his Juris Doctorate degree cum laude. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of South Florida. While at Stetson College, Paul was associate editor of the Stetson Law Review. In addition to graduating with honors, Paul received the Freshman Moot Court Outstanding Participant Award and the American Jurisprudence Book Award in Damages.
Paul is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the Bankruptcy Court and Federal Middle District Court. He is a member of the Florida Bar; Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association; Hillsborough County Bar Association; Family Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar.
Paul's experience includes both jury and non-jury trials at both circuit and county court levels. He frequently attends continuing legal education courses to keep abreast of new developments in the law.
Paul has been married to Kathy Riffel since 1979. They have two daughters. Paul has been a resident of Tampa since 1975, and is active in his church as well as family activities.
